Rainy Day Tours
As some of y'all know, I am a senior at Purdue University which means real life is soon approaching! I have been thinking about a couple different options post-graduation: job, full-time grad school or grad school and a part-time job. As of now, I am leaning toward the third option, since I would be able to gain experience along with furthering my education. That being said, I have been researching schools and some of the ones I am interested (as of now) are: University of Southern California -online-, University of Florida Gainesville -online-, Northwestern University, Loyola University Chicago, University of Iowa -online- and Boston University. Yesterday, I sat in on an information session at Northwestern University regarding there MSC program. These next coming months will be filled with applications, tours, and GRE tests but it will be all worth it.
After the information session, my family and I were able to explore around Evanston, Illinois for an hour or two. Evanston is a suburb North of Chicago, and probably one of the cutest little towns I've ever seen! Although the day was filled with storm clouds and rainy hues, we still were able to enjoy some pizza and laughs.
I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear this cropped turtleneck from Madewell (last season), and the day has finally arrived! If you live in the Midwest, you know how bi-polar our weather has been lately. It was nice to finally take in the fall weather. I paired the sweater with medium wash denim and my refined short Hunter boots that I live in on rainy days!

My sweater is last season, but I found some very similar options:
My jeans are the Joe's Honey Curby Skinny Jean (plus, they are on sale)!
My rainboots are the Original Refined Hunter Short Boots in olive.
My bag is the black Dionysus.
Baller on a Budget has some great dupes for the bag, here is the article!

Once I finish up my grad school search, I want to publish a post all about my experience and tips while applying/touring. For now, enjoy the beauty that is Northwestern's campus:
